Timber Framed Building Workshops

2nd Saturday of the Month. 01565 621234

 

We have the well known timber man Don Whiting coming to our base on Moss Lane, Norley to instruct up to 6 people in how to design and go about building timber framed buildings.

Attendees will get very practical, hands on experience and we provide everything you will need including a working lunch of a steak pie or Cornish pasty and a nice cup of fresh coffee from A Country Store & Bakery (01606 310933) which you will enjoy and need because we will be doing a full day's work.

The timber beams are prepared and the Costs for the day are only £50 +VAT @ 17.5% (subsequent days £30).

First timers get free a chainsaw helmet, a professional grade Stanley fine cut saw and a quality Stanley chisel. That's about £40 worth of tools which are the basis of your own timber framing tool kit.

We have a range of planks and beams in stock and just looking around at all the interesting pieces of wood can inspire you to make that odd shelf or coffee table or more complicated structures.

Usually we are open just on Saturday mornings from 10.30-12noon but during the timber frame workshop days we will be there the whole day.
