Indian Bean Tree (Catalpa bignonoides)

This tree was grown in Sandiway, Cheshire. We have the lower trunk planked in 2" and the upper trunk (pictured here) planked in 1.25 and 2". Cut on the 12th of Feb 2008 and captured on video (which will be available from our homepage soon).

An unusual tree of a species that was brought to the UK courtest of the Plant Hunters of previous centuries. So unusual, there is no local cultural uses but it certainly looks like it is worth finding out.

Currently ££24 per cu ft in whole planks + VAT

Wonderful annual ring structure and colour
